I am a founding partner of Westerberg and joined the team in 2010 at another law firm. I am a dedicated lawyer giving a high level of personal attention to matters and I believe in straight-forward communication with clients. I always appreciate feedback, to be able to better adapt my way of working to that of the client.
I have worked with IP for the better part of ten years, covering all areas, but with a focus on patent, trademark, unfair marketing practices and copyright litigation and arbitration. This work has often involved technical aspects across a range of industries. I enjoy learning the details of new technical areas.
As an avid video gamer, I also enjoyed a year seconded to leading video game company Electronic Arts, where I worked broadly with legal aspects of video game development.
Recent work highlights include: acting for several originator pharmaceutical companies in patent infringement and invalidity proceedings; successfully representing a client in the first IP case to be granted certiorari before the Supreme Court since the restructuring of the Swedish IP court system; litigating several 3D trademark cases; and defending the validity of a client’s infringed patent relating to large infrastructure projects, which led to one of the largest awards of damages for our client in Swedish patent history.
I am a board member of the Swedish Anti-Counterfeiting Group (SACG), and a member of EPLAW, INTA, AIPPI and SFIR. For the past few years, I have also lectured in trademark law at the university of Uppsala.
Examples of recent recognition include the following:
